Last month I spoke about the 2019 Value Summit paper evaluations. This month I wish to talk more about the pre-Summit and post-Summit training opportunities. We have finished evaluating all of the training submissions and are the process of confirming details with the chosen instructors.
I am very excited to say that in addition to a solid core summit program with three very full tracks, we will have a great program of pre- and post-Summit training to offer. There should be something of interest to everyone no matter your background or experience level at the 2019 Value Summit.
Often people have the paradigm that the Value Summit is just two days of presentations, but it is so much more! One can easily spend a week at the Summit enjoying pre- and post-Summit activities and training. Our planned training opportunities this year will range from four hours to 32 hours in length. New this year we will be offering a couple of 16-hour two-day training opportunities.
Post-Summit we will be offering the always popular 32-hour Value Methodology Fundamentals 1 (VMF 1) and Value Methodology Fundamentals 2 (VMF 2) courses. We have chosen some experienced instructors with excellent past reviews, so anyone taking these training opportunities will not be disappointed. Please spread the word and encourage any of your counterparts who want to pursue certification to consider this opportunity.
This year we are also excited to offer a post-Summit two-day facilitation course. More details will follow as we get closer to the 2019 Value Summit, but plan space now on your calendars if you want to improve your facilitation skills or complete some of your certification requirements.
Pre-Summit we have a good mix of training opportunities with two four-hour courses on Saturday, two eight-hour courses on both Saturday and Sunday, and one 16-hour two-day course. Once we have everything confirmed with the instructors, we will be posting more details on the 2019 Value Summit website.
Now for my usual reminder that it is never too early to jump in as a sponsor of the 2019 Value Summit. Sponsorship is very important; without it, we cannot have a quality event at a reasonable cost. I am very thankful for those sponsors who have stepped up already and encourage everyone else to please consider all sponsorship opportunities.
Your enthusiastic and dedicated 2019 Value Summit planning committee, with the help of the Cascadia Chapter, is charging into the new year and we look forward to seeing you in Portland, Oregon June 8-11, 2019!
