Since Autumn 2020, and brought forward due to the difficult situation for attending conferences and seminars caused by COVID-19, the German Value Society within the VDI offers a new digital format called Value Talks.
Value Talks are a bi-monthly offer for VDI members without any fee. Every Value Talk starts with a 15-minute introductory speech by an expert. The remaining 45 minutes are for discussions between participants and the value expert.
The Value Talks have been quite successful with up to 250 participants involved in individual sessions. Examples of past topics include VA/VE in general, Function Analysis, VA/VE in Plant Engineering and VA/VE with Suppliers. Future Value Talks include:
- VA/VE with Electronic Products on 16 September 2021
- TRIZ for Beginners on 11 November 2021
- TRIZ for Experts on 18 November 2021
- Idea Finding on 20 January 2022
- VA/VE is Fun on 10 March 2022
