A long-time member of SAVE International, Kurt G. Lieblong, passed away peacefully at home with family on July 21, 2021 after a five-year battle against cancer.
After graduating from Auburn University with a Bachelor of Industrial Engineering degree, Kurt worked at Florida Power & Light for nine years, six years as a Construction Engineer and three as a Process Engineer. While at Florida Power & Light, he gained valuable experience in quality improvement. In June 1999, Kurt joined FDOT as their State Value Engineer. He was a registered Professional Engineer and, for a time, a certified building contractor in the State of Florida.

Kurt did a lot for the Value Engineering community in Florida and across the entire country. He will be missed by many.
