Dr. Marc Pauwels was invited to contribute to “The 4th International Quality and Value Engineering Conference” that took place February 21-22, 2023 in Muscat, Oman.
The conference with the motto “Value Engineering in the Age of Uncertainty” was under the patronage of H.E Sayyid Saud bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Governor of Muscat. In addition to numerous dignitaries from government and large companies in the region, about 270 people came to participate in the conference.
As Director Global Affairs of SAVE International, Dr. Pauwels gave the keynote presentation during the opening ceremony about “Value Engineering from a Global Perspective.” In addition, he gave two further lectures and conducted a workshop. His colleague, Sebastian Meindl, Co-Author of the SAVE VM Guide® and Vice President of the German VA/VE organization within the VDI, informed the attendees about the status of the methodology in Germany and gave another lecture on a case study in Value Analysis/Value Engineering.
The conference was a complete success for the Bahraini Origin Group as content organizer, the Omani Al-Assayel Group as local event organizer, for the participants and also for the entire Value Methodology community.
The success motivates the Origin Group to hold this event in a similar format on May 8-9, 2023 in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Click here for more information.
