This edition of the Editor’s Voice will take a different tact. As we transition to provide more technical/research articles in Value World, I would like to enlist the support of a few volunteers to help support the review and commenting on technical articles.
My expectation is that this would entail 4-8 hours every month or every other month to review technical articles we receive and to meet as a group virtually to deliberate on our recommendations for the authors. If this is something that interests you, please email the SAVE International business office at info@value-eng.org or me at anthony.dunams@arcadis.com.
This is a great opportunity to keep abreast of the latest development of our Value Methodology (VM) practice, guide development of new articles, and to position for the role of Value World Editor in the future. Please think about this and send an email to me or SAVE.
On other fronts, change is always in the air as noted by the article by Mike Pearsall. I for one would like to thank him for his run as President and place him among the other Past Presidents for their impact on the organization.
Also, please plan on attending the 2023 Value Summit being held virtually this June 12-14. Based on John Corcoran’s article, we should have another year of great presentations and content.
