Season’s Greetings!

Looking back on 2023, SAVE International has much to be grateful for. Here are some of our accomplishments over the past year:

  • We held another successful virtual 2023 Value Summit. 279 people attended to watch 28 presentations.
  • We have seen a small increase in membership in 2023 compared to the previous year. We will focus on identifying and implementing strategies to increase membership in 2024.
  • SAVE has improved its finances by nearly $100,000 compared to this time last year. Further, the SAVE Board of Directors moved to invest cash reserves in a money market account which is yielding an additional $2k a month.
  • The enhancement to the Value Methodology Fundamentals 1 (VMF 1) training course has made significant progress. The new eLearning course has been completed and significant progress has been made on the applications training course. We hope to roll out this new curriculum out in Q1 of 2024.
  • Updates to the Certification Program are underway, including the creation of a new advisory panel and forthcoming changes and improvements to the certification process.
  • We are in the process of revising SAVE’s organizational structure. We are looking at ways to enhances local and regional programs and improve the member experience in terms of networking and educational offerings.
  • We established the U.S. Advocacy for Value (USAV) Committee that planned and conducted SAVE’s first hybrid in-person/virtual event, USAV Day, this past November in Louisville, KY. Nearly 100 people attended to watch over a dozen public agencies share their experiences and effective practices for managing Value Methodology (VM) programs. We hope to plan similar events in 2024.
  • We have selected Nashville, TN as the location of the 2024 Value Summit. This exciting location offers some of the best entertainment in the U.S. Known as “Music City,” Nashville is also known for its food, nightlife, and professional sports teams. We are looking forward to seeing everyone June 2-4, 2024!
