As I began my work as Editor of Value World, I struggled to understand what was needed for the publication. It wasn’t just to fill each issue with articles, meeting deadlines and to feel good that I had done my job.
In talking to value engineers at the 2016 Value Summit conference, I realized that members have different perspectives of what they expect from Value World. I engaged in various conversations and realized that VM practice has many different successful methodologies.
We want Value World to be the forum where VM practitioners can express new approaches. Value World does not endorse any concept – it merely showcases what the practitioners are accomplishing in their studies. This opens the door for SAVE Education to adopt new approaches including PACE – Promote, Advocate, Certify and Educate.
Dave Wilson, Past President of SAVE International, gracefully accepted to share his vision on PACE with a regular column beginning in September. Steven Kirk, VP of Education, will contribute to Value World with articles that focus on education and a MVP Fellow perspective. Bob Rude, Certification Board Chairman, plans to share the Certification Board’s new initiatives.
We invite VM practitioners to engage and offer your experience to rest of the world.
