By Stephen J. Kirk, PhD, FAIA, CVS – VP Education, SAVE International
SAVE International (SAVE) is pleased to sponsor a competition for all universities that offer semester courses on value engineering, value analysis or value management (VM). This course may be in any discipline including engineering, architecture, management or general sciences. The purpose of this competition is to recognize the student(s) and the university for your value work. SAVE encourages universities to offer semester courses in VM and hopes that this competition will bring visibility to your programs within your university and throughout SAVE’s global reach.
Award
The winning student or student team will receive up to $1,000 towards travel expenses to the 2017 SAVE Value Summit in Philadelphia, PA being held August 27-30, 2017. The winner will give a 20 minute presentation at the Summit, and will be presented with an award at the Awards Banquet.
Competition Details
We encourage you to nominate your best student value study by notifying Dr. Stephen J. Kirk, Vice President Education, by May 15, 2017 of your intent to submit a student value study by the deadline of July 1, 2017. Please send your notification to Steve Kirk at info@value-eng.org.

The SAVE evaluation jury will consist of the Executive Vice President, Vice President Conferences, Chairman of the Miles Value Foundation and the SAVE Certification Board Chairman. Should a tie occur, the SAVE President will make the final selection.
