This is the first of my monthly columns as the SAVE International Vice President – Conferences and I will keep this one very brief. I hope you are all holding June 9-12, 2018 on your calendars for the 2018 Value Summit in Austin, Texas.
Your 2018 Summit program committee has started work planning and a call for papers will be released shortly. We still have room for a couple more volunteers; if you are looking for a way to get involved, please contact me directly at mike.pearsall@ontario.ca. This year we have a shorter than usual span of time between the 2017 Value Summit and the 2018 Value Summit, so things are ramping up quickly.
A little about Austin to pique your interest in the venue: Austin is the state capital of Texas, home to the University of Texas flagship campus and is known for its eclectic live-music scene centered around country, blues and rock. Many of you may be familiar with the Austin City Limits music festival and long-running PBS television show.
I can say that I am personally looking forward to seeing some of what Austin has to offer and more importantly networking again with all of you.
