By Patrice Miller, CVS – Interim President, SAVE International Arizona Chapter
On November 1, 2017 the SAVE International Arizona Chapter hosted a luncheon featuring three dynamic speakers promoting the benefits of the Value Methodology:
- Mike Bonar, CVS spoke of the benefits to an individual or his/her organization, how to be an excellent team member and the requirements to become a CVS.
- Dan Spitza, AVS spoke from a contractor’s perspective and promoted VM training and how he and his organization, Achen-Gardner Construction, have applied the Value Methodology in proposal development and pre-construction services.
- Renee Hoekstra, CVS launched from her lively presentation at the SAVE 2017 Value Summit in Philadelphia, PA and discussed the process and the benefits of SAVE membership.
The Arizona Chapter has enjoyed strategic partnerships with several organizations, including the American Public Works Association (APWA) and the Associated General Contractors (AGC). The Chapter’s networking and educational event on November 1 was hosted at the AGC Arizona facility near the Arizona State Capitol Building.
